[/QUOTE]On the hardest difficulty I found the combat itself easy but I found the ammo very scarce and if you run into a Super Mutant Brute you are in for a very tough fight. I put it down to second hardest after my first brute fight (there were 3 of them). anyone else finding fallout 3 real easy?
Once you realize how to play the game properly it is very easy. However it's still a fun game and I can't wait for the mods that change the way nps level up with you and such. I remember the first time I came across a place crawling with super mutants I was only lvl2 or so because I stumbled into the wrong place while doing a quest.... I thought ''Oh man I'm screwed''. I have to admit I died and had to rethink my strategy due to my weak weapons and very limited ammo, but I managed to finish them off anyways. In the original Fallout games if you screwed up and found a super mutants early in the game, you'd be EXTREMELY lucky to survive an escape. Once again.....I can't wait for the mods to fix this (among other issues obviously)

One of my main gripes with Oblivion was that every enemy would get stronger as I got stronger. It made it near pointless to get better skills, weapons, and armor if I would always be in for a tough fight regardless.
I think it's easier if you do a lot of side quests/scavenging. I did very few side quests my first time and it was kinda hard. This time I'm doing everything I can and I've got plenty of cash, ammo, etc.

Fallout 3 is one of the easiest games in years. i'm not saying the combat isn't fun, coz it is, but i never did feel like having to struggle for my survival like i did in the old Fallouts -- remember the Enclave patrol who executed civilians and turned around telling you to stay outta the business? i obeyed. i had to. and i like how helpless the game really made me feel.
Yeah, it's too easy. By level 6ish I had a pistol, submachinegun, hunting rifle, assault rifle, laser pistol, laser rifle, fat man nuke launcher, minigun, a steady 20+ grenades and dozens of mines. And ammo? Oh man, for all the weapons combined, I had easily over 1200 shots. Mostly for the minigun and laser pistol, but still. Oh yeah, and I was carrying them all (and other stuff) on 6 strength.Fallout 3 hasn't captured the scavenging in the wasteland feel of Fallout at all. It hasn't even tried.
