I heard you need buy 3 seperate versions of SC2 in order to play the race you want...As for Diablo III, I heard they took out the Necromancer, is this true? Also, if you wanna buy Diablo II, it's still around $50, and WC3 is around $40, still... Blizzard is getting greedy

The campaigns, yes.
The 3 races will be available for Skirmish and Multiplayer, as well as in the new Editor. (At least, it would be stupid not to have them available in those) Blizzard is getting greedy

Don't get me wrong, if you want to blast blizzard, be my guest. But don't come here without facts, proof or links. If Blizzard was truely Greedy, they would release the exact same game every year, with nothing improved like EA Sports.Blizzard develops games, but they also have to make money, the profits from WoW are getting Sc3 and D3 to come out alot sooner, along with their yet un-announced MMO.Even the way you said ''I heard you need buy 3 seperate versions of SC2 in order to play the race you want...'' is also complete crap. You don't need to buy three seperate versions. they are, to my knowledge completely stand-alone games. so if you want to play terran, buy the first one. Also, whats wrong with a company wanting to make money? are you offended by it? look around, everything you use (excluding air) was either created or exported to you via a company, interested in making money.
What do you mean getting?
I'm not blasting Blizzard, I'm offended. Especially if Battle.Net starts a monthly fee
I heard you need buy 3 seperate versions of SC2 in order to play the race you want... How is that greedy if we have little information on it? Based on Blizzard's track record they are anything but that and cram their games with content..As for Diablo III, I heard they took out the Necromancer, is this true? Yes sadely, it was my favorite class in the second.. But how does this make them greedy? Also, if you wanna buy Diablo II, it's still around $50, and WC3 is around $40, still... No it isn't they are around like $30, and are the battlechest version that includes the original, expansion and strategy guides.
So how are they greedy again?
I'm not blasting Blizzard, I'm offended. Especially if Battle.Net starts a monthly fee
Stop starting rumors. There's no way Blizzard will make us pay for b.net.B.net is their bread and butter, more than half of people buying WC and SC are playing on b.net. If Blizzard makes us pay, they will loose a lot of initial sales. Besides, it's not that demanding to run b.net; I am sure Blizzard can afford it.So, relax and enjoy the long wait till they finally annouce the release date . . . and then wait few more years till you can get into public beta . . . and then after 6 more months go out and buy it.

Not alot of people think now-a-days, they just feel.

I never said a monthly fee, and I doubt it's just account name changes, the features that are going to be monetized are yet to be known, but I've been hearing they are going to be monetizing stuff like leaderboards.
I know, I was just clarifying a bit. A lot of people get confused (like keenof) and immediatly think monetizing features means monthly fee. I agree it will be more then name changes, but doubt the leader boards will be monetized.
The reason they split up the campaigns was so they could make them as deep as they wanted without having to shoehorn everything into one game.
The reason they split up the campaigns was so they could make them as deep as they wanted without having to shoehorn everything into one game.
This. I don't know about you, but I'm plenty willing to buy three separate campaigns that are the length of a full-length RTS campaign storyline. As everybody else pointed out, blizzard has said you don't need the single player campaigns to play with the races in skirmish/multiplayer.
Arn't all companies greedy? I mean really the point is to make money. So what's your point?
Arn't all companies greedy? I mean really the point is to make money. So what's your point?
Yeah. If anybody really thinks that companies make games because they love providing the masses with good quality entertainment, they are fooling themselves. There are some people in the industry that enjoy this, but the overall goal is profit.

Given the fact that Blizzard makes $1.98 Billion per year on WoW alone, is splitting up Starcraft 2 into 3 fully priced games, and still charges $40 for 6-8 year old games, I'd say they've given up on trying to maintain the illusion that they're in it for anything other than money.
