Fallout 3 error message

I'be been playing Fallout 3 for a day and must say I enjoy it. however, I'm having a major issue I cannot fix and Bethesda will not rspond. As soon as I find out about dear old dad leaving the vault and go inot the hallway to escape, my game crashes. It gives me the error message ''Fallout 3 has stopped working'', check online for a solution or close the program. I tried searching for a solution to with no results. I've reinstalled, relaoded the game, tweaked my drivers, etc. Still nothing! any one else getting a crash t a specific place in the game, or something similiar? Anyone nkow how to fix this or skip this part of the game? Specs: Athlon 64 X2 4200+ overclocked to 2.4 ghz, 2 GB ddr 5300 RAM, 512 MB geforce 8800 GT video, Windows Vista home edition. reinstall. sounds like a corrupt file. or try running the game with lower graphics and make sure AA is OFFFallout 3 error message
a clean reinstall might fix that, be warned tho, my Fallout 3 corrupted something important, causing my pc to act up really badly after a fallout 3 crash, had to reformat to escape the constant hanging of the pc.Formating cleared it out, and ofcourse I had to install the game again, in hopes that it was something else that caused it, but nope, after install and about 4 hours of playing, the game crashed, and after the crash my windows began to hang after 1-2 mins after bieng booted up...
