Facebook and MySpace are garbage

What do the last 4 questions have to do with online gaming?
Because our main idea/thesis is if it would be possible to promote guitar hero through second life. Thank you for your answers, I really appreciate it! Keep them coming! :)
YesWhatever the equivalent is to $50USD. I pay for XBL and don't care too much about it. I've spent more money on worse things.Yes.Yes.I don't care. Second Life looks lame and I'm surprised it was popular enough to appear in a show like CSI: NY. That episode left me a little dumbfounded.I think Facebook and Myspace are two pointless, awful excuses for social lives where lonely girls go to get noticed, pedos go for dates, and emos go to find a purpose in life. Even Gamespot's blogging, union, and forum system has a ton of more appeal than these two sites IMO. I can go on and on about these two sites, but the bottom line is that if I wanted to get my music noticed, i wouldn't turn to total BS to get attention.
Have you ever played against another person online, via an Internet gaming service such as Xbox live? yes How much would you be willing to pay for an annual subscription that would enable you to play all compatible games online for an unlimited amount of time? i expect online gaming to be free, but if worse came to worst, i'd be willing to pay about 25 us dollars, i.e., about 15 british pounds.
If you liked music, would you be interested in generating your own songs using music interfaces such as Apple's Garageband? yes If yes, would sharing them online, or creating them online with people specialising in other instruments sound appealing to you? i would enjoy distributing my songs, but not collaborating with anyone.
What do you think about meeting band members on online social networking sites such as Second Life, then getting together in virtual recording studios to make up your own songs? no
Our strategy would also focus on Facebook and Myspace (for people to create their own band pages, upload songs etc.) to popularise the product. What are your thoughts on this? given the popularity of these sites, this would be an easy way to get your music heard outside of your local area. it would also allow for band members who would otherwise be unable to play with each other (due to geography) to collaborate. although i wouldn't be intertested, it clearly could be useful for others.
- Yup.

- No. I do not like creating my own music. I do enjoy taking apart songs by the instruments (such as the game, Amplitude for the PS2).
- N/A
- This sounds like having business meetings via webcam. It sounds like a really nice idea.
- I do use Myspace to find music artist pages, and the StumbleUpon toolbar to randomly fall on a favorited music profile. However, I find that more Myspaces/Facebooks are adding junk to their pages by adding all kinds of widgets and applications. An alternative to Myspace/Facebook is last.fm.
Thank you so much for your answers! It's really appreciated! Keep them coming, it really helps us with our project.
