System Shock 2.A SCARY game i mean SCARY not crap!
Condemned!
Agreed condemned
FEAR and some parts of Half Life 2 when your in the dark.
Agreed condemned
Yeah I thought it was a great game. Play it alone in a dark room with 5.1 surround and it will freak you out. Come on number 2!
System Shock 2 and the Aliens vs Predator marine campaign.
I suggest FEAR. First game in quite some time to scare me. For multi-player, if you have Half Life 2, download Hidden Mod. Quite intense.
SanitoriumDiablo (the original from 1997)F.E.A.R.
FEAR
Thief 1-3 - Some of the most atmospheric levels in a game. STALKER! Maybe the scariest game on PC.
Undying, Call Of Chtulhu, Stalker.

Condemned probably. FEAR wasn't scary but it does make you jump out of your seat once in awhile.
System Shock 2, almost the whole game (except for few rooms with research materials).Clive Barker's Jericho, during most of the ordinary Cleisiophobia encounters, great graphic and sound help a lot. weaken in boss and special mission fights.and like few seconds in Black Area 51.
Some people are scared of Doom 3 and RoE, but who knows.....
Some people are scared of Doom 3 and RoE, but who knows.....
I still have yet to finish Doom 3. I have yet to be frightened or shout out because of any other game (barring the occasional arty blast in ArmA).A lot of it I figure depends on whether you are scared of atmospheric eeriness (oh, God, I butchered that word) or things that jump out and go, ''Boo!''I'm more of the latter. When an imp tears a staircase in half and jumps through it and tries to bite my face off, it scares the heck out of me. Atmospheric scariness isn't so big. Spooky music and darkness aren't as frightening as an unexpected boogity-boo nomming on your face.It boils down to the difference between being scared of something biting your junk off and something actually doing it. Which are you?
Simply, none. I have faith in Dead Space, but I doub't it will accomplish that which has never been done before. The only game that was decent was Cliver Barker's Undying and I played it when I was like 7 or 8 anway can't remember, unde 10 years, the others are either meh or scary for about 10 minutes or max half an hour. For example Doom 3 was scary for about 12 minutes, Quake 4 was about 8, FEAR 4 minutes until I saw that it's just a shooter with just a few horror scripted ''cut-scenes'', System Shock was for about 25 minutes, Prey was just plain fun, not horror at all and Condemned was meh.
Uh... FEAR and Condemned.Note how the OP is just another rant...
