Ubisoft should just cancel Endwar for the pc.

When it does get released all we are gonna hear is crying from ubisoft about how the game did not sell well. This game is a console RTS flat out. It will NOT compare to the big hitter RTS comeing out which will destroy endwar. Its also late so whos going to caare by then???Anyone agree? Ubisoft should just cancel Endwar for the pc.
hedgehogenstein completely agrees. The game looks doubleplusungood. Even on the 360 it might not do so well if Halo Wars releases as scheduled. They have barely three months to make good. I guess it's the best possible three months of the year, but even so.I hope the game tanks on all systems. Bad games should not be popular! It is a crime against nature and God and man and hedgehogs!Ubisoft should just cancel Endwar for the pc.
my friend played it and from what he said, it seems like a joke, you dont even move the camera and you are stuck to the unit you select.... In videos I have seen no micro.. the only neat feature is voice command which will get old fast.. I'd love to see it compete to coh or the old blizz rts games. There is even WiC
Well, EndWar isn't a bad game by any stretch--but it does feel tailor-made for consoles. It's worth noting, hedgehog, that EndWar is already out for the Xbox 360, yet Halo Wars is not due out for some time, so they won't be competing for your dollars in a direct way.Either way, you are right about one thing: EndWar does not, as it stands, feel like a good fit for the PC, and I'm interested to see how Ubisoft approaches that version. What an odd problem: a console RTS that may not be a good fit for the PC. The opposite issue has been prevalent, but this is a new one for me.
It's not that it won't work well enough on PC, it's just that the game itself seems to be infinitely inferior to what PC gamers have been exposed to for the past dozen years. The game is slow and shallow, and it's hard to imagine why any PC gamer would want to play it. It's not about the platform itself; it's about the audience and the competition within the genre.
That's pretty much what I was getting at, and why the game isn't the most obvious fit for the PC. EndWar is a good first step toward console-specific strategy for this generation, but its simple rock-paper-scissors gameplay won't allow it to stand out on a platform where RTSs are one of the last remaining staples. The audience expects something deeper, and the ''armchair commander'' role you take in EndWar is fun, but its much more focused on streamlined, action-focused gameplay. With games like World in Conflict arleady filling this niche, it's gonna be a tough sell.
i just downloaded the demo for the 360 and I didnt like it one bit. Definitely going to be a letdown
this is why i laughed when a few weeks ago some people on here were crying that it was delayed. ubisoft may still release it on pc, they should realize that pc RTS gamers are not looking for games like endwar.
The demo was horrible. IMO RTS games should just stay on PC. I havnt played on RTS game one a console that had good controlling. Maybe its just me but for a RTS a keyboard and mouse is a MUST.
The controls were very fluid and easy to pick up in the demo, unless they rework the controls for the PC version it's going to be very clunky and awkward with m/kb

Much better RTS games to come out for PC anyway, like the newly announced second expansion for COH.
Yeah they should, then it would save us all there whining when they blame piracy for the **** sales.
To be honest it looks like a really fun game to play on consoles, but it's going to fall flat on it's face if it ever releases on pc.
If there's a demo, I'd like to try it.

If you really want to see a console RTS, look at some videos for Halo Wars. Ick!
First I liked the game but now it's 100% That i will not buy it ,I think i will wait to the new company of heroes game
Well then it is good that you console-lovers get to weed out the crap before I shell out my $50... it looks amazing in screen-shots, even reminds me of WiC, but based on your descriptions I will pass unless they release a PC demo...
