Moveing up to Fallout 2

I beat a good run through of fallout 1 and I wanted a new fallout game(I did beat fo3) and I went to gog and bought FO2. Am i missing out by not getting the FOt? Why does everyone hate it? Why do people say 2 is better than 1? Moveing up to Fallout 2

[/QUOTE]I do not know why people say 2 is better than 1 but the reasons Tactics is hated is because it didn't follow or continue any of the story from 1 or 2, and there was much less dialogue than in the old Fallout games. The main focus was action. The game was also much more linear than Fallout 1 and 2. Moveing up to Fallout 2
Well Fallout 2 is bigger, and more diverse then Fallout 1, and there are some enhancements to the controls (like being able to push npc's out of the way)It is less coherent then Fallout 1, but it offer alot of laughs, and pretty cool movie and pop culture referances. I would'nt say that FoT is hated, it is just less liked then Fallout 1-2.Mainly because it has next to nill roleplay elements, it is all focused on combat. It is not bad, but it just falls short of the Fallout spirit.
Fallout Tactics is a VERY different game from either Fallout 1 or 2. You can't really think of FoT as a Fallout game, but rather a TBS game in the Fallout universe. Think X-COM in a post-apocalyptic world with certain RPG-like elements (leveling up, inventory, dialogue options).Personally, I loved the game. I did run into a little problem, though: I couldn't get enough money to outfit my entire squad in power armor for the final assault (the final mission recommends getting at least powered armor to combat the radiation levels the squad will be exposed to throughout the mission).
