This is an insane deal, totally picking it up. Was going to buy the game off play for 15GBP, since I'm trying to start a collection (most of my games are on steam, only just started to realised it's cool to see all your game boxs lined up) but for the equivelant to like 7GBP , how can you NOT pick this up?Vampire:Bloodlines 50% off, 10 BUCKS!
Great deal, and get it right now. The first few hours of Bloodlines is incredible. But I'm not as high on it as most people on this forum. For some reason, the end game really bummed the hell out of me.Vampire:Bloodlines 50% off, 10 BUCKS!
I hate digital copies, but for $9.99 maybe... Considering it still sells for $35 and up for a real copy.

Game is really pretty good. I got it for free, but I'm sure it's worth $10.

[/QUOTE] I just looked through completed listings at ebay, and seems plenty of copies are going for $20 shipped or slightly more... Theres some guy selling brand new copies on amazon for $60...
I saw one of them on ebay for like 12GBP so I think I'm guna buy it. What about serials and registering though? Will I have a problem?
i dont think you can use the unofficial patches on the steam version can you? Its a pretty broken game the way the company left it before they went bust.
I think you can, not really sure though. And a used copy should be fine, its a single player game and I doubt theres any activation.
thats fine and well, love to get it, but....does it work on Vista Home Premium?
Best role-playing video game I've played in my life. It was worth the $20 I payed for it and I would have payed $100 for it if I had to. No other role-playing video game I have played has created such a believable world that allows for so much role-playing within it. I got so connected to the world and everyone in it, especially Heather Poe.

R.I.P Troika :(
i love steam ... theres no way its going down ever .. they are doing too dang well.
It worths 10 bucks, great game.
buy it, right now. Do not hesitate. Easily one of the best games ever made, even with the bugs. Outstanding dialogue, a world that's incredibly compelling and easily draws you in, the closest thing to true role playing that I've ever seen in a comuter game, and it actually manages to make vampires look cool rather than whiny emo kids or traditional Dracula types.P.S. Malkavians are probably the best thing to ever happen to video games.
Yip my first play through was with a malkavian...that was one hell of a way to kick off the game for me,buy it! the atmosphere is second to none...the game just draws you in...im gonna play it..
Thanks for the heads up guys. I just bought the game.

I made it to Downtown as a Malkavian... it was one of the oddest and most rewarding experiences I've had in gaming. I wish I could have finished but school-work got in the way and I never went back. I really want to finish the game as a Tremere though, the Thaumaturgy is awesome and I really want to see the special Tremere-only apartment.
I wish I had the time to go through everything in the game as each type of vampire... each type of vampire plays so much differently.

I love the World of Darkness vampires... they are far more realistic than the Stoker stereotypes and indeed much cooler and *way* more badass. I've been reading a bit of the Requiem rule-book and find it amazing how they are able to make being a Kindred even more depressing than Masquerade.

I'm just kind of tired of depressing vampires, everyone does that. VtM:B was my first experience with Masquerade, and I love how rather than the typical sorrow and pain it focuses more on the irony that even as incredibly powerful and dangerous predators, vampires have to deal with the same beauracracy and government-type control as humans do, and even though they're so much more powerful than humans, they still have to hide from them. I mean, it's the same struggle to retain humanity at a base level, but it's presented in a way that I find much more interesting.

I like both continuums and both are rather depressing... but I guess that is the whole point though. You as a Kindred have access to all these profound powers and immortality but are always subject to the Beast and lack everything that ever made you human; pleasure, love, etc. It's that dichotomy that I think sets the World of Darkness vampires apart from everything else.
