What games do you like to snipe in that have awesome weapons and gameplay? What is your favorite Sniper gameplay PC game?
The Vintar is Stalker is basically the Jesus weapon.I really enjoyed the dart rifle in Far Cry 2... too bad I hate everything else. What is your favorite Sniper gameplay PC game?
too bad the dart rifle could only hold 4 bullets... the final sniper was bada$$ tho.. the noise it made was louder than CSS' AWP.
I haven't tried any stalker sniping or the game for that matter. I haven't tried FC2 yet either.
The Far Cry 2 dart gun allows you to dish out utterly silent death from a ways out without giving a trace to your whereabouts, which makes for some awesome sniping. Unfortunately, as an earlier poster mentioned, you can only carry 5 darts (10 with the sniper bandolier).I hear the sniping in the Project Reality Mod for BF2 is intense in that it is absurdly realistic and you can make shots from 1000m out. I haven't played the game to verify though; that info comes from a friend.
Joint Operations. It is an underappreciated online shooter developed by Novalogic that takes place in Indonesia. It has some of the best sniper gameplay I have ever experience, especially considering games can hold up to 150 people. They factored in bullet drop and time-to-target, and even allowed you to adjust the scope. The game also had a ghillie suit option in addition to well-rendered grass.Imagine loading yourself up with claymores and an M21 rifle...you go prone just outside an enemy bunker, drop the claymores to your rear left and rear right, and equip your binoculars. The rangefinder tells you its 450 yards away, so you equip your rifle and dial it in. You see an enemy standing around manning a mortar, so you take a shot at him. His comrade sees him go down and runs side to side, you make a shot but you forgot to adjust the scope and factor in for bullet flight time. Suddenly, another enemy spots you from 30 yards away and you run, getting him to trip one of the claymores! So, so exciting.
[QUOTE=''A1B2C3CAL'']I know I will get the usual answers CoD4, Crysis/Warhead etc. but what is a different game that has spectacular sniping? I am playing FO3 right now and am enjoying the sniping..but mods will improve it I hope. CoD WaW will be fun i'm sure. Sniper Elite? I hear it's really realistic though I haven't actually gotten around to playing it.l
I like the sniping action in CoD 1 and UO (none of that 'hold breath' hand-holding).Other games where I enjoyed sniping were No One Lives Forever, Solder Of Fortune 2, RTCW, Wolfenstein:ET and the original Ghost Recon.

best sniper game ever would HAVE to be commandos
[QUOTE=''machiavell8x8''] best sniper game ever would HAVE to be commandos
yah and something about the box art just made me tingle inside, anyone else get that?
Sorry I forgot to mention it should be a FPS or TPV game. I enjoy FPS the most.
Red OrchestraUsing sniper rifles in that game is fun enough, but where you really get the most pleasure from is using some of the high powered rifles that don't have a scope. You have to use the iron sights and it's pretty dang hard. But when you score a kill that way at distance it's very rewarding.
The first game that really made sniping fun for me was the original Medal of Honor. That's where I really got exposed to it for the first time. There was one medal where you had to protect all the people in your squad going through enemy infested streets and you would have to pop off Germans coming out of windows right away. Very intense.
MoH was really my first time playing a PC game online....it was so fun.
