Grid crashing after the first career race

ok i have grid and pathced it up to latest 1.2 and whenever i complete the first introduction race it crashes right after i skip the replay it says error and then sends me ack to desktop, its v1.2 and i have vista64bit 4gfb ram and 4870Grid crashing after the first career race

I have the same problem. Seems to be an issue with ATI driver as it worked fine on my Nvidia 280 GTX. I switched to the 4870 X2 because of the reviews. I wish I didn't now. I have other issues like black borders around games and it doesn't support all resolutions in fullscreen. Basically ATI quality sucks! They have always had **** drivers and I am pissed I really switched to this card. I'll never buy ATI again!
I had the same problem along time ago. I think you either had to patch the game or go back to a different version.
had a similar issue with my gtx260. I lowered the clock speed coz i had oc'd and then i never had any more problem. could be thr drivers from ati they arent known to be the greatest
