Where in the world is Colin Moriarty?

So I got Fallout 3 on Saturday, and I'll give it a 10/10, but there is one problem. The bartender in Megaton, Colin Moriarty, is supposed to tell me where my dad is when I get him his money, but for some reason, he isn't there. The weirder part is that I took the survival guide mission, and I just happened to
go to Rivet city and talk to Dr. Li. And to my dismay she knew who I was, and I finished the ''following his footsteps'' mission. After watching my brother play, I know I'm missing at least 3 crucial missions, like going to GNR, and some of the Brotherhood stuff. This is really obnoxious because it takes so much out of the game from me, and I have know idea why this happend. Can anybody answer me, I'm probably too far from actual being helped though.Where in the world is Colin Moriarty?
He is in your base, killing your dudes.Where in the world is Colin Moriarty?
He is in your base, killing your dudes.
Whats your problem? You think your so cool because you post some non-sense in my thread.
Yeah, you can't go back so I think you may have missed out on the XP. This also happened to me but in a different way. I found Moriarty but I didn't do the next part of the main quest. I sort of stumbled upon it like you did when I talked to Dr. Li. So I think that XP is gone unless it's all added into one big XP reward when you progress in the main quest.
Thanks, it's not necessarily the XP, I think I'm actually high (level 12) but it's more of the experience with my first game, and missing out on what seems to be a sort of epic battle.

Ok sweet, I still get to talk to good ol' 3 dog. Too bad I have no fatman to take out the behemoth. But still, does anybody know how he could have dissapeared? I know that if you treat a shop keeper badly, they can leave town, but the only thing I did in his bar was kill Mr. Burkes, and my brother did that, and he still has a Moriarty.
I've never had him disapear on me. You checked the whole saloon right?
It is a bug, NPC's standing on the balconies have a tendency to sometimes fall off them and die. While Moriaty was there in my game the guy with the daughter (found his corpse) and the guy running the water treatment plant (body is still MIA) are long gone from my game.
Yeah, upstairs, the back room, the bathroom, the little corner thing, He's nowhere. I've even looked around town too. Also, the Water plant guy also disappeared, so I never got to finish that either.
It is a bug, NPC's standing on the balconies have a tendency to sometimes fall off them and die. I found it, its kind of hard, but if you can get to Chevy chase north(maybe east) it's right around the corner of the ruined building. the problem is that to get through there's supposed to be a small unit of brother hood guys helping you.
