Tomorrow, eager fans, myself included, will get their first taste of Left 4 Dead. Remember, in order to recieve the early demo, you must either preorder at gamestop, or prepurchase off steam. If Prepurchased, Steam will know you have Left 4 Dead and I assume the demo will appear in your games list. At this time, I'm not sure when to expect the demo, so don't stay up late tonight expecting a midnight release. If Preordered, Gamestop will be emailing the codes sometime today, November 5.the Gamestop codes are out and in the open, go check your emails now!Tomorrow also marks the introduction of Steam Cloud. Sources are reporting in that OXM gave L4D a 9.5. For those wondering thats the same score they gave Gears 2, so thats very impressive. Heres a bit of what they had to say.
Left4Dead
+Extremely intense action and zombie-killin chaos
+Built to be very replayable
-Can't play Versus on all four campaings; no plotI've also recieved word that the Early Demo will be avialble at 7AM PST, so set your alarms! Left 4 Dead Early Demo Releases Tomorrow at 7 AM PST. Gamestop Codes are Out!
OMFG. Left 4 Dead Early Demo Releases Tomorrow at 7 AM PST. Gamestop Codes are Out!
when do the non preorders get the demo?
Expect the demo to release around 1-3pm.
Whats the dealio with steam cloud? It saves out save games forever? What? Also, wtf goatse http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/52906
I should probably go pre-order Left 4 Dead then :D
I might give the demo a try, when It releases to the non pre ordering people.
I thought the point of a demo was to demonstrate something to an audience that would potentially be interested in the product. I can't say I like this cheap marketing tactic. This will generate some undeserved hype for the game, as most of the people who's going to play this demo are already fans of the game, and will go to greater lengths justifying their preorder decision.
I thought it was supposed to be released the 6th. It's just now the 5th, but when you pusted it was still the 4th.Maybe, I'm thinking about it too much.
Tomorrow?! TOMORROW?! I've been waiting forever for this!

As Someone said, everyone gets to play the 11th. Sadly, it sounds like the demo ends November 18 (Release of the Game).
